Virginia Tech has been a world leader in electronic theses and dissertation initiatives for more than 20 years. On January 1, 1997, Virginia Tech was the first university to require electronic submission of theses and dissertations (ETDs).
Dissertations and Theses:; This collection contains the full-text of many theses and dissertations completed at Portland State University. Some files in this collection may have embargoes placed on them and some are only available to PSU faculty, students and staff.
Dissertations written from 1997 forward are available full text. The database includes citations to dissertations from 1861 to those accepted last semester. Citations for dissertations and master's theses published from 1980 forward have abstracts. Simple bibliographic citations are available for dissertations dating from 1637.
